Once you have bought a property with a swimming pool, or have made the decision to install a new one, it must be considered that there is a certain amount of pool maintenance to be done on a weekly basis.
Normal swimming pool maintenance comprises of: replacing chemicals on a weekly or twice weekly basis (depending on the time of year), topping up falling water levels, cleaning the filter, removing leaves and insects, and hoovering the bottom and walls of your pool.
For achieving a good rental income here on the Costa Blanca, a well maintained swimming pool is essential, but if you are living permanently and know you will rarely use your pool, you are really throwing away money by having one.
Hiring a professional company to look after your pool is necessary if you are an absent owner, to keep your pool maintained perfectly for your visits, or holidaymakers. A green pool can result in you having to refund a clients money!
Due to the hot weather here on the Costa Blanca, swimming pools that are not regularly maintained and chemically treated can quickly lead to the growth of bacteria, causing infections - especially in children. All pool maintenance is individually priced on a yearly basis and includes all chemicals. The pool contract consists of twice weekly pool cleaning during May to September, and weekly visit during the October to April. Chemical levels will be closely monitored, the pool will be cleared of all floating debris, and the water will be left crystal clear for enjoyable and safe swimming.
